5 Things That Make This a High-Converting Sales Page

5 Things That Make This a High-Converting Sales Page

If you want a high-converting sales page, you need more than just pretty visuals, or thinking your email provider sales page will do the trick! You need strategy, structure, and intentional design.

I’ve broken down five things that make one of my latest sales pages convert consistently. If you’re planning to build or redesign your own, use this as your blueprint. For context this is a sales page I built for my client that went on to have a £45k + launch, that was just in the first 48 hours of launching. My client made her investment back in under 24 hours of her launch. So if you are looking for help with your sales page this blog post is an incredible place to start!

1. Clear, Compelling CTAs Throughout the High-Converting Sales Page

A high-converting sales page doesn’t leave your ideal clients guessing. It guides them with clear, strategic Call-to-Actions (CTAs). For context a call to action is the button you want your ideal client to click which get them a step closer to working with you. This also tells your ideal client what they need to do next if they want to work with you.

CTAs should appear in multiple places. Place one in the hero, throughout the scroll, and at the bottom. Use confident action verbs that connect to what your ideal client wants, not just what you’re offering. This is going to vary depending on the type of service or product your sale page is selling. Here are some examples below that you can sprinkle throughout your sales page. If you are stuck on this one of the best places to look is your market research and pick out words which resonate hard with your ideal clients.

Examples:
Book Your Spot
Get Instant Access
Start Your Transformation

CTAs should appear in multiple places. Place one in the hero, throughout the scroll, and at the bottom. Use confident action verbs that connect to what your ideal client wants, not just what you’re offering.

What I did on my clients sales page:

For my clients sales page, as this sales page was for a high ticket offer (over the value of £1k) we used a variety of different call to actions. Check out some of the images below which include some of the call to actions we used. We did this to appeal to different buyer types on the sales pages, and use language that would appeal to them. Check out these screenshots which are real examples from my clients high-converting sales page.

2. Header Content and CTA Above the Fold on Mobile

For a high-converting sales page, mobile design is everything. Most users will land on your page from their phone.

That means your most important message and CTA must sit above the fold. No scrolling. No confusion. In case you are wondering what ‘above the fold’ is. This is term that is used to describe the content that you see when when a web page is loaded, before the user has to scroll. So in this case its the content your ideal client can see before they have to scroll down your sales page. This can often determine if an ideal client will stay on your sales page or not.

Think of this section like a billboard: fast, punchy, and impossible to ignore. You have 3–5 seconds to capture attention.

Keep the copy sharp. Make the button bold. Test how it looks on different phone sizes.

What I did on my clients Highly-Converting Sales Page

For my clients sales page we made sure that everything that was visible on the desktop header was also visible on the mobile header. This was essential as this is where a lot of my clients traffic comes in from. You can see in the screenshot below all of the main pieces of information are visible with a clear CTA before the user needs to scroll or do anything. This is perfect for the fast action takers.

3. Consistent Branding: Fonts, Colours and Vibe

A high-converting sales page needs visual trust. Consistency builds brand recognition and authority at a glance.

Use a defined font pairing. Stick to your brand colour palette. And keep spacing, alignment, and button styles uniform throughout. One of the reasons why this is so powerful is because people will come to recognise and resonate certain colours, fonts, and layouts from you. This builds so much trust with your brand and overall business and your ideal clients will begin to trust you a little more every time they see your branding. Every time you ‘switch things up’ you are basically starting from square one, and this decreases the trust your ideal clients will have with you.

Too many fonts? Distracting.
Mismatched colours? Confusing.
Cluttered layouts? Overwhelming.

Consistency says professional. And professional builds conversion. Keep your branding professional and consistent throughout everything you do in business, from your visibility content to your funnels and onboarding it all makes a difference.

What I did on my clients high-coverting sales page

On my clients highly-converting sales page I used the same patterns, colours, fonts, and general branding right the way through the sales page. This was essenital to keep everything looking professional, on brand, and to build credability and trust. Which is also important on a high ticket sales page. You will see from the images above that everything is consistent. Not only this but you can check out the page itself to see the consistency.

4. Designed with Mobile-First in Mind

Designing mobile-first is essential for a high-converting sales page. Your desktop version won’t always translate well on mobile.

That means checking every section:

  • Are text sizes readable?
  • Are images resized properly?
  • Is the layout scrollable without confusion?

Also, test buttons. Are they large enough to tap easily?
If your mobile design is clunky, your bounce rate will skyrocket.

Prioritise the user journey on mobile. It can make or break your sales. It is easy to forget to do this… As we typically always start with the desktop design. By the time we have done the desktop design we are tired and the last thing we want to do it start working on the mobile design… I get it trust me! I have been doing this for years! But it is so important to make sure you work on your mobile design for your sales pages. This is important if you want them to be highly converting. This can look like all the things I mentioned above as well as tweaking the layout and removing ‘fluff’ things that are just not needed on mobile. Like images that are only there for aesthetics.

What I did on my clients Highly-Converting Sales Page

This is something I did all the way down my clients sales page to ensure everything that is needed is on the sales page is visible. And everything that wasn’t needed on mobile was removed. I also shift the layout slightly on mobile to ensure everything is in the right order and makes sense for ideal clients who land on the sales page. Check out an example below to see how I have formatted the mobile design. This is a screen shot taken from the sales page. You can also check out the sales page and some of the images further up the blog post.

5. Focused Messaging That Speaks to the ideal clients Pain Points

This final point is the heart of every high-converting sales page: your message must connect with your ideal client’s current reality.

It’s not about listing features. It’s about solving problems.
Highlight your ideal clients pain points, then present your offer as the transformation. Something which appeals to your ideal clients desires, and is a desire that your service will provide.

Start with what they’re struggling with. Speak directly to it.
Use their language. Show them you understand and if you are unsure where to start with this. My advice is always refer back to your market research, Go and speak to your ideal clients. Listen to them and understand the kind of language they are using. Go in deep on their problems and what their bigger goals and desire are. Not the surface level ones. It is when you go deep that your ideal client thinks… ‘Yeah she gets it!’.

Then, explain how your solution gets them to where they want to be. That emotional shift? That’s what drives conversions.

What I did on my clients Highly-Converting Sales Page

On my client sales page my client provided me with the content for the sales page and my client is incredible at what she does. She knows her ideal clients so well, so she has already nailed her messaging. But I do alway provide to my ideal client who are looking for guidance and support around their sales page content.

I always provide my sales page clients with my highly-converting sales page content planner. This literally walks my ideal client through all of the content we need for the sales page and tells them what kind of content we need, how much content for each section plus so much more. This takes the stress, and overwhelm out of not knowing where to begin with your content and language for your sales page. If you want to see the kind of language my client used on her sales page check out the link a little further up in this post, in section 3.
