How to Market Your Business When You’re Burnt Out (Without Burning Out More)

How to Market Your Business When You’re Burnt Out (Without Burning Out More)

This week, let’s talk about how to market your business when you feel burnt out, exhausted, or simply can’t be bothered, because that feeling is real. I’ve chosen the phrase “just can’t be bothered” intentionally, because we don’t always have the capacity to show up online all the time, and honestly, we shouldn’t have to. Why not be real about the fact that sometimes there is no actual reason you just don’t want to show up online, because we aren’t machines. That is why I really wanted to jump into this topic this week. This week we are talking about why you shouldn’t need to market your business like this and what you can do instead.

As full-time business owners, there are days when we simply don’t have the energy to show up at 100%. And that’s okay. We’re only human. Our energy naturally fluctuates, so the real question is: how can we keep marketing even when we don’t feel at our best? Let’s dive into how to market your business when you’re feeling burnt out.

The answer? A strategy that works with your energy levels, not against them. One that keeps your business visible, nurtures your audience, and supports sales. But not only this… But a strategy that works regardless of your energy. This means yes even when you’re offline.

Why You Need a Low-Energy Marketing Strategy

Over the last few months, I’ve been shifting towards a more holistic marketing approach. Instead of forcing myself to always show up on Instagram or TikTok, I’ve focused on long-form content and intentional visibility. My goal? To create systems that:

  • Attract ideal clients
  • Nurture leads over time
  • Convert sales on autopilot

This way, I can enjoy real life without guilt, take breaks without panic, and stop relying solely on social media to grow my business. This means you stop putting all your eggs in one basket and start showing up without the stress. You no longer tie your income to how often you post or how active you are on socials. Imagine that!

How to market your business when you’re burnt out: My 2-Part Strategy for Marketing with Less Effort

Here’s what it looks like: (Yes its as simple and easy as it sounds and looks!)

1. Email Marketing: Nurture + Convert

Your email list is where your warmest leads are. Even just one value-packed email a week is enough to stay top of mind for your ideal clients. It’s way more sustainable than trying to post 20 times a month on Instagram and across multiple platforms.

Plus, you can batch this. Four emails = one month of marketing done. Simple, effective, and high-converting. We have all tried to batch create 20 pieces of content and its overwhelming and can drain all of your energy.

2. Blog Posts + Your Website: Visibility + Authority

Your website works 24/7. It doesn’t need a comment section, it doesn’t rely on an algorithm, and it doesn’t ask you to be “on” all the time. Pair it with weekly blog posts to build your authority, boost your visibility on Google, and help dream clients clearly understand what you do on their own time. This means you aren’t spending hour and hours trying to sell in the DM’s or on stories.

This combo gives you a powerful, evergreen system that doesn’t crumble if you need a break from social media. Why? Because even if you batched this content and matching this with repurposing that is 4 – 8 peices of content per month! Which is much easier than batching and schedulling 20 pieces of content for Instagram and TikTok.

Why This Works even when you have low energy

This strategy helps you show up only when you want to not because your business depends on it. And when you do show up? It’s from a place of ease, not pressure. Because your foundations are already working behind the scenes to support you. This means you are showing up in alignement and from a place of authority, rather than pick me energy because your sales are depending on it.

Let me be super clear… This doesn’t mean ditch social media, it means stop depending on it for ALL of your sales.

How to market your business when you’re burnt out: The True Power of Your Website

A strong website isn’t just “nice to have.” It’s your business’s home online. It shares your story, showcases your services, communicates your value, and gives people multiple ways to connect and work with you. Best of all?

It works around the clock…Even when you’re not.

If you’re tired of your sales being tied to your energy levels or how often you post, it’s time to build a smarter system. It is time to invest in a website for your business.
